Built over two floors of the historic Regent’s Building, the restaurant includes an outdoor mezzanine section and has enough space to cater for 700 people at the same time.

Food served at the Terrace includes fresh meat from a carvery, clay-oven-cooked pizzas and gourmet sandwiches from a deli counter and there’s a dedicated barista coffee bar.

“Months of building work have culminated in the creation of a world-class restaurant,” said Rich Storton, of ZSL London Zoo.

“More than a million people visit ZSL London Zoo every year and now feeding time at the zoo is as much fun for the visitors as it is for the animals”.

Also on Friday night is the zoo’s latest Zoo Lates event, where adults are encouraged to mingle.
