The Jumper actress has designed a collection called Edie Rose for DKNY, which will feature skinny jeans, jackets, dresses, T-shirts, sweaters and casual tops.

Rachel, 26, said: “I have been passionate about beginning my own collection for some time now. Working with DKNY Jeans, a brand with similar demographics in terms of who I wanted to design for and similar aesthetics, has been really magical.

“They completely brought all my ideas and designs to life and have been so helpful and supportive with my vision. I want to show people that you don’t have to pay a million dollars for clothes that look good. For me, I love vintage clothes, and I shop vintage all the time.

“It’s fun to play and put things together. You don’t have to spend a lot to get a great look.”

The range, which was named after Rachel’s grandmother Edie and her close friend Rose, will go on sale this autumn.

DKNY Jeans President Kevin Monogue said: “Rachel Bilson is on everyone’s best-dressed list, and her look resonates with our customers. Her style is effortless yet edgy and unexpected, which matches the DKNY Jeans’ aesthetic perfectly.

“Her dedication to the process and her innate eye for design has impressed us all. We are excited about the collaboration.”

The former O.C. star is the latest in a long line of celebrities to design a clothing range. Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Lily Allen, Avril Lavigne
and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen also have their own fashion collections.
