PAMELA ANDERSON is to play the genie of the lamp in the New Wimbledon theatre’s production of Aladdin later this year.

In a mind-blowing panto-actor face-off, Anderson will star opposite Brian Blessed, who takes on the role of Abanazar, the show’s villain.

“She has been on our list for a while,” said a spokesperson for the New Wimbledon theatre.

“She’ll be bringing her family to London for Christmas and will arrive the week before her first performance to learn her lines.

“She will be very busy as there are two shows a day including on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, but she will have Christmas Day off.”

Once she’s finished her stint, Anderson’s role is to be taken on by Paul O’Grady.
