The 26-year-old royal, the daughter of Princess Anne, is said to be keen on tying the knot with Mike in Windsor’s St. George’s Chapel, but is determined not to cause the same controversy that surrounded her brother Peter’s
nuptials to Autumn Kelly, after they invited celebrity magazine Hello! to cover the event.

A source told the Mail on Sunday: “Zara and Mike are secretly engaged but they won’t announce it till after the Olympics. They can’t wait to get married. Zara loves St George’s Chapel and Frogmore, where her brother had his reception, but the logistics aren’t yet finalised.

“To be honest, inviting Hello! to the wedding is not her style and having all the cameras at Peter’s wedding caused a bit of a stink. Having said that, it was well stage-managed and Zara will be using it as a blueprint for catering and security for her own ceremony.”

Zara was also said to be keen to wait until they had the full backing of her mother, who wanted her son to marry first.

The source added: “Mike and Zara have become quite impatient. Peter had to marry first to keep with tradition. Next year, the road will be clear for them.”
