Zara Phillips has flown to New Zealand to support her boyfriend.
The 26-year-old royal – the daughter of Princess Anne – arrived in Christchurch yesterday (19.60.08) to be with her rugby player lover Mike Tindall following allegations of sexual misconduct against a number of England players.
As she left the airport hiding her face behind a large pair of sunglasses, Zara asked the waiting paparazzi: “Do you do this to normal people?”
She confirmed she was in New Zealand to support Mike, but refused to comment on the ongoing police investigation.
The England rugby team was plunged into scandal this week after it emerged four unnamed players have been accused of a serious sexual assault following an incident at the team’s Auckland hotel last weekend.
Zara was later seen having lunch in the centre of Christchurch, but was unhappy when photographers tried to take her picture.
Zara and Mike are reportedly planning to fly to Bali or Fiji for a romantic holiday once England’s tour of New Zealand finishes next week.
