Princes William and Harry have reportedly been asked to take part in a roller disco.

William’s girlfriend Kate Middleton is helping to organise the charity event next month in aid of Place2Be and Tom’s ward at the Oxford Children’s Hospital.

Place2Be supports children’s wellbeing through drop-in and group counselling sessions held at schools which allow young people to “explore their problems through talking, creative work and play”.

The Oxford Children’s Hospital Appeal is being supported by the parents of Thomas Waley-Cohen who died after ten years of treatment for a rare bone disease there. They are hoping to raise £1 million to help fund the general surgical ward, which they hope will be renamed after Thomas.

Richard Branson’s daughter Holly is also on the organising committee.

As well as being asked to don roller skates, William and Harry would also have to comply with the event’s day-glo dress code.

It was recently reported that William hates going to nightclubs because he feels he can’t match Kate’s dancing skills.

A friend of William asked the prince why he wasn’t joining Kate in dancing on a recent night out to London’s Raffles, to which he replied: “I can’t.
She’s just too good a dancer for me.”

A source added: “He loves Kate and would do anything to please her but dancing in nightclubs is just not his thing. She kind of understands.”
