Prince Charles has kept his favourite toy for over 50 years.

The royal, who will celebrate his 60th birthday this year, is so fond of the small aquamarine Sunbeam car that he keeps it in perfect condition at his mother Queen Elizabeth’s Windsor Castle home.
Charles, who has two sons William and Harry, was given the toy by the British manufacturers of the item when he just four years old.
A spokeswoman for the Royal Collection said: “The pedal car was certainly the Prince’s favourite. We have never been sure if he allowed William and Harry to play with it. It’s still in such fantastic condition.”
The toy appears in a new book about Charles, entitled Prince Of Wales: A Birthday Souvenir Album, released to coincide with an exhibition at Windsor Castle next month.
