Katie was a guest of brokerage firm BCG – with the co-operation of Princess Anne’s office – and watched 35 riders compete in a range of events at the prestigious festival.

James Blackshaw from BGC said: “We invited Katie because of her enthusiasm and love of horses and the strides she is making in equestrianism. Just because she has been a successful glamour model doesn’t mean she can’t break into three-day eventing. We applaud her efforts.”

The invitation comes just one week after Katie – who is also known as Jordan – was snubbed by organisers of the Cartier International Polo Day.

Bosses at the event branded the outspoken model “too chavvy” to attend.

At the time, Katie said: “It’s pure snobbery. However good a horsewoman I may be, I’m also a glamour model. That embarrassed the organisers. Unless you’re a toff or an aspiring actress, they don’t want you.”

In addition, Katie has received an invitation to perform a dressage routine in at the Horse of the Year Show in October.

After her performance Princes William and Harry’s regiment, the Household Cavalry, will demonstrate their exceptional horsemanship on their beautiful black horses, complete with tunics, gleaming steel cuirasses and plumed helmets.
