With 12 pubs closing every week in London, students from Kingston University are applying to the UN to have our watering holes given World Heritage status. ‘People expect protection to apply to Stonehenge or the pyramids,’ said the university’s Daniel Rosbottom. ‘But it also applies to the cultural character of a place.’
