A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Robbie has always planned for his baby to be born in Britain, it’s really important to him. He moved to America to enjoy the lifestyle, anonymity and climate but his heart still belongs in the UK.

“He wants his parents around during their grandchild’s early months and can’t wait to enjoy a proper family Christmas.”

American actress Ayda, 33, will also move her mother in with her and Robbie – who was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England.

Initially they are renting a place while they look for a permanent base in the UK. Robbie decided he wanted to return to Britain after reforming and touring the country with Take That.

The source added: “Touring with Take That and soaking up the fans’ reaction gave him a hunger to perform again.

“He’s like a kid in a toy shop at the moment. He has one of the most exciting years of his life ahead of him and can’t wait.”

Robbie – who married Ayda in 2010 – has been recording a new album, and was spotted in London yesterday (16.08.12) filming a video for it in a pink suit. During shooting he appeared to get run over by a car for the promo.
