Scarlett Johansson is to attend the BRIT Awards.

The Lost In Translation star is to present an award at the BRITs and will also perform during the ceremony in London’s Earls Court on February 20.

An insider told the Sunday Mirror: “Scarlett has tentatively agreed to sing and is definitely presenting a BRIT. It would be a real treat.”

The 23-year-old actress – who is recording an album of Tom Waits cover songs, called Scarlett sings Tom Waits with Rhino Records in the US – and has been invited to perform a track from the new record at the BRITs. If she does choose to sing, Scarlett will join the Kaiser Chiefs, Mark Ronson, Mika and Kylie Minogue and Sir Paul McCartney who will all perform during the show.

Take That, Mika and Leona Lewis are leading the nominations this year and are all up for four awards each. Take That are up for Best British Group, Best Live Act – which is one of three awards voted for by the public – and Best British Album for their comeback LP Beautiful World. The group will be up against indie rockers the Arctic Monkeys in all three categories.

Bat For Lashes, Kate Nash, KT Tunstall and PJ Harvey have all been nominated along with Leona for Best British Female Solo Artist. Mika has been pitted against Jamie T, Mark Ronson, Newton Faulkner and Richard Hawley for Best British Male Solo Artist.

Elsewhere, Kylie Minogue and Rihanna will battle it out for Best International Female Solo Artist and Best International Album. Amy Winehouse was not nominated for any awards but is due to attend the ceremony.
