Prince Harry has been targeted by a pair of near-naked animal rights campaigners.

The scantily-clad bevy of beauties were dispatched by PETA – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals – in a bid to tempt the 27-year-old royal away from the delights of meat.

Harry had reportedly enjoyed a meat-lover’s pizza, which featured ham, bacon, sausage and pepperoni, during a night out at the Little Italy restaurant in Gila Bend, Arizona.

Dressed in chilli-pepper bikinis, the animal-loving duo are now hoping to persuade Harry and the residents of Gila Bend – where he is currently based as part of his Royal Air Force training – to ditch carcass-based protein and try vegan and vegetarian dishes.

A PETA spokesperson said: “Eliminating meat and other animal-derived products from your diet can also lead to a sizzling physique and plenty of heat in the bedroom.”

Ingrid Newkirk, president of the animal rights groups, recently urged Duchess Catherine to ask her husband Prince William to stop shooting birds after he reportedly purchased 250 feathered friends for a shoot at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham Estate as a birthday gift for Harry.

She wrote in an open letter: “We understand that Prince William has given a gift of ‘game birds’ to Prince Harry for his birthday.

“May I ask you to use your influence on the princes and ask them to reconsider this gift?”
