Oprah Winfrey is TV’s richest star after earning USD260million in just one year.

Oprah – who has her own magazine, radio show, and book club as well as her Emmy award-winning daily talk show – earned the staggering sum between June 2006 and 2007, placing her top of Forbes.com’s Richest Celebrities on
Television.

This year, Oprah has already topped Forbes’ 20 Richest Women in Entertainment list and came first in Forbes’ Celebrity 100 Power List in July.

The 53-year-old chat show host rocketed to the top of the list, eclipsing second placed Jerry Seinfeld by an impressive USD200 million.

American Idol host Simon Cowell was third after raking in USD45 million in the year, while chat show king David Letterman secured fourth position with annual earnings of USD40 million.

24 star Kiefer Sutherland, who was recently charged with DUI (driving under the influence) and America’s Next Top Model presenter Tyra Banks also feature in the list.
