“It’s not true,” Dr Tohme Tohme told the New York Daily News, denying reports in The Sun that the singer has skin cancer.

“He is great, he is in the best of health,” added Tohme, “[and] has no diseases whatsover”.

Jackson looked to back up the doc’s words with action on the weekend when he continued rehearsals for his upcoming series of concerts at London’s O2 arena.

The Sun claims that Jackson was diagnosed with skin cancer in tests in April, though the paper did also say that the Thriller singer had been told his condition was treatable and that the London gigs would go ahead.

Jackson’s This Is It tour opens on 8 July at the O2 and tickets are still to be found.
