Mark Ronson has become the latest casualty of Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher’s teasing, but the super producer might fight back with a new album.

“Noel Gallagher said I should ‘learn three chords on the guitar and go write a tune’,” Mark wrote on his official blog Saturday. “So I just wanted him to know that I’m actually taking guitar lessons from Jay-Z right now and he’s already taught me both chords to Wonderwall.”

Noel struck out at US rapper Jay-Z earlier this summer, claiming the artist was all wrong for Glastonbury. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” he said. “If you start to break it then people aren’t going to go.”

Mark, who performed before the 99 Problems rapper at July’s O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, claims his lessons are making him feel creative.

“It’s so much fun having Jay teach me all of Noel’s songs on the guitar (hooray!) that I’m thinking of doing an Oasis/Jay-Z remix album a la ‘The Grey Album’,” he wrote. His possible song titles? Champagne Superhova and Definitely Jay-Z.

Mark, who famously has worked with Amy Winehouse (a ‘destitute horse’, according to Noel), added that he’s had plenty of guitar practise. “P.P.S. Noel,” Mark said, “I did write a song called Back to Black, which actually has seven chords in it.”
