The Careless Whisper singer was said to be retiring from performances following the end of his world tour at the end of August, but now he is reportedly set to land £1 million for playing an exclusive concert at Abu Dhabi’s lavish Emirates Palace venue, where tickets are expected to go on sale for around £200.

As well as the massive pay cheque, George, 45, will stay in a luxury suite, which boasts gold leaf and marble decoration, a 61-inch plasma screen television, Swarovski crystal chandeliers and 24-hour butler service.

George performed two concerts in London at the end of August, which were part of his 25 Live tour and billed as “the Final Two”.

However, he then went on to perform in Copenhagen, Denmark, a few days later, in a show advertised as the ‘Final One’.

The date for the Abu Dhabi concert has not yet been revealed.
