The former Wham! star’s accounts have been looked into by the Daily Mail and the newspaper reveals that Michael snagged £1.5M for singing some songs at Sir Philip Green’s 55th birthday bash in 2007.

Apparently, Michael demanded to leave the party, held on an island in the Indian Ocean, as soon as he’d finished his set.

Then there was the time the I’m Your Man singer was handed £1.6M for performing a greatest hits set at a 2006 New Year’s Eve do for Russian billionaire Vladimir Potanin.

Add in the more normal gigs in the two years between April 2006 and March 2008 and the Mail calculates that Michael earned nearly £50M from touring.
