London, 2 and 3 April, 2009, doors open at 7:00pm:
Des O’Connor, in association with Blond Ambition Events and Ministry of Burlesque, is proud to present New York’s Finest, featuring Mr. Choade’s Travelling Amusement in the Last Days of Decadence!

This full-on, downtown New York show features the raunchiest, raciest and riskiest burlesque London has ever seen! Compared by the sleazy Mel Frye a “father” to all of the girls with London’s cabaret legend and New York City’s favourite English gent, Des O’Connor. Bunny Love brings you all the grace of a Warhol Superstar, Harvest Moon elegantly defies the laws of physics, Pinkie Special gets very personal, Tigger won’t let you forget, Nasty Canasta will make you see it her way, Madame Rosebud dares you to try, and Camillicious keeps it real.

You’ll never see a better burlesque show anywhere else in the world unless our girls are there.

The Slipper Room, located in the Lower East Side in New York City, is home to Mr Choade’s Upstairs/Downstairs; the longest running burlesque show in New York City. At Last Year’s New York Burlesque Festival, Des O’Connor hatched the plan to bring a hardcore NYC burlesque show kicking and screaming into the heart of London. New York’s Finest sees this dream come true in London’s atmospheric venue, the Last Days of Decadence.

Des O’Connor was voted “Finest lyricist of the burlesque scene” in Bizarre Magazine’s top 10 British burlesque stars. Des has enraptured audiences internationally with his renowned musical comedy, and his bittersweet lyrics combined with insanely catchy melodies never fail to shock, charm and entertain.

Bunny Love is the glittery goddess of New York City’s downtown burlesque scene. At her shows you may see a screening of one of her dark but hilarious short films or hear her naked rock band, NUDE! This show at Last Days of Decadence will mark her London premiere!

Tigger! A New York performer for over 20 years ~ called the “King of Boylesque”. In 2006 he was honoured to win the 1st ever Mr. Exotic World title for Best Boylesque at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. He has also received four Golden Pastie Awards, including “The Performer Most Likely to Get Shut Down by the Law” and “Most Unpredictable Performer.” Called “hysterical and acrobatic” by The New York Times and “the taboo-defying dynamo” by Next Magazine. This will be his first performance in London in 16 years.
