CHERYL COLE is the sexiest woman in the world, according to voters in the annual FHM magazine poll.

Possibly thanks to her well-received appareances on the X Factor, Cole leapt six places to land the top spot ahead of last year’s winner, Megan Fox, with Jessica Alba taking the bronze medal spot.
Even Cole’s big move up the charts was eclipsed by comeback queen Britney Spears, who stormed from 31st place in 2008 to 4th this time around, and Smallville star Kristin Kreuk, who jumped from 48th to 8th, likely off the back of her role in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
FHM’s sexy poll is one of the biggest going, with 10 million votes counted and here are the top ten as decided by those millions:
