Singer Damon Albarn dropped hints about the trial runs a few weeks back.

“We need a few more warm-up gigs to get back into it,” he said.

Both gigs quickly sold out quickly after tickets went on sale this morning, 17 April.

Extra tickets are to go on sale for the second, at Goldsmith’s College on 22 June, but there is no more room at the inn for the first, at the East Anglia Railway Museum in Colchester on 13 June.

Those extra tickets are to be sold via The Teenage Cancer trust, reports the NME, date yet to be announced.

There are still tickets left for the Hyde Park shows on 2 and 3 July, as well as for the band’s performances at the MEN Arena in Manchester.
