AMY WINEHOUSE has acted to quash rumours she is about to adopt a developing world baby.

There were rumours that the Rehab singer was to follow in the footsteps of the likes of serial adopters Madonna and Angelina Jolie, but it turns out Winehouse is more about helping kids in their own countries.
The country in this case is St Lucia, the Caribbean island on which she has spent so much time over the past few months.
“Amy was talking about adopting in the context of looking after children on the island, perhaps through some kind of music and education-based project,” said a spokesperson for the singer.
