“Following the most exciting reunion in British pop history, Take That unveil the title of their long-awaited new album: Progress,” was how the press release put it.

It’s also been confirmed that Progress will come out on 22 November, with the first single culled from the album, The Flood, scheduled for release on 4 November.
It’s a particularly busy time for Williams and Barlow, who will also bring out a duet single, Shame, on 4 October.

Fast work for a pair who only reconciled their differences a year ago, following a well-publicised period of cold war.

For those of you who look out for a London link to these stories, the best we can do is reveal that the video for The Flood was shot along the Thames near Eton, which is pretty close.

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie filmed the video for The Flood on location at Dorney Lake in Eton and along the River Thames.
