Born in the sleepy Oxfordshire village of Stanford in the Vale, Pam Ayres MBE has been making the nation laugh for over 40 years, beginning with her memorable 1975 appearance on TV talent show Opportunity Knocks. Tonight, she recites poems from her latest book, Up In The Attic, along with verse, stories, jokes, anecdotes and snippets from her other best-selling books.
