Cast

Indie-rock band.

Liverpudlian indie-rock four-piece who rose to prominence in the 1990s.

Formed in 1992 and reunited 20 years later, Liverpool-based four-piece Cast were hugely influential during the Britpop era with their albums All Change, Mother Nature Calls and Magic Hour. Fronted by the charismatic John Power, the band hit the road to perform fan favourites to coincide with the release of two exclusive vinyl packages covering their singles from 1995-2017.

Pedigree Britpop legends Cast announce details of their brand new album due for release in March 2016. The band will also be on tour throughout April to coincide with the release. Fans wanting to get involved with the PledgeMusic campaign can pre-order now at: www.pledgemusic.com/cast The album is being recorded at The Motor Museum in Liverpool and will be produced by resident studio legend - Al Groves. Cast originally formed in 1992. From playing bass in legendary Northern band The La's, John Power (guitar/vocals), Liam 'Skin' Tyson (lead guitar - also playing with Robert Plant) and Keith O'Neill (drums) are joined by former La's member Jay Lewis on bass. In 2012 Cast reunited with original producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Fall) to release a new album 'Troubled Times', their first studio album in over ten years. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic album 'All Change', Cast will unite with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for a special live performance on Saturday 5th December 2015 for a sold out show at the historic Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. Due to popular demand an extra show has now been added on the 27th February 2016. Earlier this year Cast released a brand new song 'Baby Blue Eyes' - the first track to be made available from the new album.
