Join us for wine and irreverent, fun discussion led by literary critic Lucy Scholes.Mays Bitch Lit will discuss Svetlana Alexievichs masterclass in oral history, The Unwomanly Face Of War, in which she interviews women who served in the Soviet Army during the Second World War.In 2015 Alexievich was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature and since then a host of her books have finally been made widely available in English. The Unwomanly Face of War is a testament to her tireless work to give voices to those too often forgotten, and to tell the stories of the individuals caught up in historys grand events.Numbers strictly limited, please book promptly to avoid disappointment.
