Kate Middleton, the girlfriend of Prince William, wowed revellers at the Day-Glo Charity Roller Disco in London last night (17.09.08) when she arrived wearing tiny hotpants and a sequinned halterneck top.

The 26-year-old beauty – clad in yellow shorts, a green top and glossy tights complete with pink legwarmers – was joined by her sister Pippa and friends including William’s cousin Princess Beatrice at the event in Vauxhall, South London.

However, Kate was less than skilful when she put her rollerskates on, and ended up in a pile on the floor after attempting to skate around the specially set up rink.

The event – organised by Kate – aimed to raise £100,000 for the surgical ward at Oxford’s Children’s Hospital, as well as Place2Be, a charity organisation which provides counselling for young people.

Kate was left devastated following the death of close friend Tom Waley-Cohen – who was treated in the hospital – in 2004, and is desperate for her fundraising efforts to result in a ward at the medical centre being named after Tom.

Co-organiser of the roller disco, Sam Waley-Cohen – Tom’s brother – praised Kate’s efforts.

He said: “Kate and Tom were at school together and were good friends. It is the first time she has been actively involved but she has supported us behind the scenes.

“When we came up with this, she was the obvious person to help. Kate has been fantastic in using her contacts to get people along – she has persuaded loads of people to commit. Her involvement has obviously raised the profile.”
