The couple – who celebrated their three-year anniversary last Wednesday (09.04.08) -are believed to have locked horns over Charles’ work commitments, with Camilla demanding her husband spend more time with her.

A source close to the couple told Britain’s Mail on Sunday newspaper:
“Camilla has reached the time in her life when she would like to see more of her husband, which is perfectly understandable.

“Charles, however, doesn’t just want to keep up his current hectic schedule – he wants to increase it.

Camilla respects his interests but she is happiest just sitting at home with a drink. Because of the type of people they are, and the age at which they married, they are both pretty set in their ways.”

Camilla – who underwent a hysterectomy last year, which involved the removal of her womb – is also reportedly annoyed at the lack of attention Charles is paying to her health.

The source added: “She doesn’t feel that Charles has been particularly sympathetic. She has found her first husband, Andrew, is often a more approachable confidante.”

However, Charles is said to be furious with Camilla’s lack of interest in the official side of her marriage, which includes hosting events at the couple’s Gloucestershire residence, Highgrove House.

A friend of the couple told Britain’s News of the World newspaper: “Camilla argues she only ever wanted to be Charles’ consort and not a full-time royal. She’s started to tire of Charles’ close friends. She finds them boring too.”

The couple are currently on a two-week holiday in Scotland.
