The multi-award winning actor and director Sir Kenneth Branagh has announced a series of plays which he will direct, co-direct and star in under the auspices of the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company.

“Working in collaboration with his artistic associates, director Rob Ashford and designer Christopher Oram”, Branagh will present; “an exceptional series of plays” that bring together a remarkable group of actors, led by Rob Brydon, Judi Dench, Lily James and Richard Madden” say the shows producers.

“I come from the theatre, my bones are in the theatre; it’s as natural as breathing to want to be in the theatre” Sir Kenneth told The Independent.

“A creative and artistic home is what I’ve been looking for in the theatre. We have found it at here.”

The Winter’s Tale

Shakespeare’s timeless tragicomedy of obsession and redemption is reimagined in a new production co-directed by Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh, following their triumphant staging of Macbeth in Manchester and Manhattan.

Judi Dench will play Paulina, Kenneth Branagh will play Leontes.
