The Big Brother star, who died in 2009, is the subject of a new opera – and the Crowd (wept) – to open at the Riverside Studios next month. ‘This is very much the story of celebrity,’ said playwright Afsaneh Gray. ‘She becomes a star, but it’s not what she wanted. I think it’s quite moving.’
