As those titles imply, organisers of The Scoop’s two-week free film event , have gone for a mix of modern milestones and oldies-but-goodies: also on the list are The King’s Speech and The African Queen and Social Network and the original version of The Manchurian Candidate.
The Scoop, a sunken amphitheatre, is located right on the south bank of the river, half-way between HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge. It seats 800, but going off previous events, cinema crowds build up fast. Therefore, getting there early is recommended, especially since there is good weather forecast for most of this week.
Films are shown at 7.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week and next.
