AMY WINEHOUSE scored £1,200 worth of crack and heroin the night before she died, says a local drug fixer, who today intends to tell the police what he knows.

“I want Amy’s family to know the truth about what happened,” said Tony Azzopardi.

“I want to help them out.”

Late on the night of 22 July, Azzopardi says that he took Winehouse to meet a “Mr Big” drug dealer, who supplied the Rehab singer with the drugs.

Azzopardi has already been interviewed by the Met once about Winehouse’s last hours and is to visit Kentish Town police station again today as part of the investigation into the singer’s death.

As yet there is no firm evidence that Winehouse took drugs in the lead up to her death; instead the current theory is that she died due to the effects of going cold turkey after giving up alcohol.

Indeed, Azzopardi appears to back up Winehouse family claims that she was clean.

“She looked good, you know, fit, like she’d been clean for a while and filled out a bit,” Azzopardi told The Mirror.

“I couldn’t believe it when I found out she was gone.”
