BADLY-BEHAVED audiences have provoked London theatres to bring in beefed up security teams.

Several West End theatres, including the Apollo, the Garrick and the Lyric are reported by the BBC to be planning more bouncers to counter rowdy, drink-fuelled crowds.
“In a show like Thriller Live, you get people who have never been to the theatre before and may have been out for a drink before they arrive,” said Nica Burns, co-owner of the Lyric.
Playwright Ronald Harwood, whose Collaboration is on at the Duchess Theatre, backed up Burns’ views on the evils of alcohol at showtime.
“I am appalled by the number of people who take drinks into the auditorium,” Harwood told BBC Radio 4.
“People shake their cups to get more drink but they don’t know the actors can hear them.”
