Blake Fielder-Civil – who married the troubled singer last May – admitted committing grievous bodily harm (GBH) on James King as well as conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

Blake’s plea was revealed today (09.06.08) after the judge at his recent court case lifted reporting restrictions on the pre-trial case at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Judge David Radford also lifted a ban on reporting an allegation that King could have been subjected to intimidation or duress.

One of Blake’s co-defendants, Michael Brown, pleaded guilty to inflicting GBH and also perverting the course of justice.

Anthony Kelly and James Kennedy, Blake’s other co-defendants, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice.

Blake, 26, was arrested last November after police raided the London home he shared with Amy.

He was taken away by police over charges of a conspiracy to pervert justice through his involvement with a UKP200,000 plot to fix a trial.

He allegedly offered King the money in a bid to get him to change his police statement about the assault.

Amy, 24, appeared in court last week to support Blake, who had been attending lengthy pre-trial hearings.

Blake – who has been held on remand at Pentonville Prison since his arrest – and his co-defendants will be sentenced at a later date.
