Bank is the ‘most disliked’ Tube station in London, finds new poll

Bank Underground station has been voted the worst Tube stop in London, in a survey run by pollsters YouGov.

“While there isn’t a great deal of  consensus as to what is the best station, what’s interesting is that Bank has clearly come out as the most disliked,” said YouGov’s Laurence Janta-Lipinski.

“Perhaps this poll will have Transport for London bosses asking how they can make it a more pleasant experience for  customers.”

Long, mazy pedestrian tunnels and the confusion of Bank’s link with Monument are thought to lie behind its low rating. Elephant & Castle was runner-up in the stations-we-hate race, with King’s Cross taking the third-worst tag.

Though the Most Liked Tube station prize was a closer-run thing, Canary Wharf, with its steely spaciousness, was voted favourite station, ahead of Charing Cross and Baker Street.
