BuddyIn short: Singalong life of Buddy Holly

In full: Buddy Holly may not have had the glamour of a Presley or a Cochran but he sure knew how to sing his way outta Hicksvile and into music fame and fortune, four eyes and all.

Along the way he wrote some of the most memorable songs of the rock and roll era, most of which get a run out here in this potted biography that is a cynic-busting, exuberant delight. Coach loads of office parties make Buddy a West End favourite, and it is easy to see why many fans come back a second and third time. Lubbock, Texas was surely never as much fun.
