Born in 1908 in Vienna, photographer Edith Tudor-Hart captured startling images of poverty and deprivation in London during times of conflict. Her art was her cover because Edith was secretly working as a spy for the Soviet Union in the English capital. She recruited Kim Philby and was heavily involved in the Cambridge Five spy ring. This documentary probes the untold history of the director’s great aunt to better understand her life in Austria, Britain and the Soviet Union.
