Several years after the fall of civilisation, a man known only as the Survivalist lives alone in the forest in a barricaded hut, which protects him from armed gangs of marauding survivors. Out of the blue, Kathryn and her daughter Milja arrive at the hut looking for food and shelter. Understandably wary of the interlopers, the Survivalist allows the women to stay, bartering meagre supplies for sex with Milja.
