Their arrival is greeted almost with irritation and it quickly becomes clear that neither Bobby nor Helen has much time to spend playing host to the visitors. Soon after, Toots dies and May asks to live with her son for a few weeks, rather than return alone to an empty house. In the days that follow, May strikes up a friendship with her daughter’s lover, Darren, which ignites a passionate affair that threatens to tear the entire family apart.
