Disgraced NFL pro quarterback Paul ‘Wrecking’ Crewe is charged with resisting arrest, violating parole and other misdemeanours. He is despatched to a Texan prison run by the vicious Warden Hazen, who ‘forcibly persuades’ Crewe to train the inmates for a competitive game of American football against the guards. Once Crewe persuades sure-footed Megget to play running back, a number of his compadres join the squad, tempted by the prospect of meting out sweet revenge to the guards on the field.
