Dramatisation of one of the most famous episodes in American history. In 1836, during the days before the United States of America existed, a platoon of 300 American soldiers took charge of an outpost known as the Alamo in San Antonio in Texas. For 13 days, the soldiers managed to stave off the advances of the larger Mexican army led by Generalissimo Antonio Miguel Lopez de Santa Anna. However, their efforts were ultimately in vain.
