Robert Pujol manages an umbrella factory, which he inherited from the father of his trophy wife, Suzanne. He lords over the employees as if he built up the company from scratch, inspiring resentment among the overstretched workforce. When they decide to go on strike, Robert attempts a stand-off only for the employees to take him hostage. Suddenly, Suzanne finds herself at the helm of the company.
