Two sets of parents struggle to raise their demanding children. One couple is driven to distraction by a young son, who has boundless energy and disrupts lessons in the classroom. Another couple struggles to connect with a young daughter, who is blessed with a soaring imagination. It transpires that the boy and girl have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), so the respective couples seek help from a psychologist and teacher at a special school.
