In mid-1990s Glasgow, indie rock band The Delgados formed cult record label Chemikal Underground, which became a catalyst for the rise of Scotland’s independent music scene epitomised by Arab Strap, Bis, Franz Ferdinand and Mogwai among others. Irish documentary filmmaker Niall McCann celebrates this fertile period in Scotland’s culture by restaging an iconic French concert that solidified the musicians’ friendships and interviewing many of the key personnel.
