Byeong-woo smuggles illegal immigrants into Bundang in a container but one of them is carrying a virus. When the container is opened, everyone lies dead apart from one passenger, who escapes and quickly infects dozens of people in the city. Within hours, hundreds of patients complain of the same symptoms and since Bundang is located so close to Seoul, the government orders a complete shutdown.
