A hurricane hits Scotland with devastating force, sending a huge tidal surge along the north coast of England, heading straight for London. Rob Morrison from Atlantis Engineering is called to the capital for a maintenance check on the Thames Barrier. There, he clashes with his ex-wife Sam, who is now director of operations for Thames Barrier. The couple is compelled to put differences to one side when Rob’s estranged father, Professor Leonard Morrison sounds the warning about the ineffectiveness of London’s tidal defences.
