Criminal Martin Rome is involved in a fatal shootout, which leaves one policeman in the morgue. As he recuperates, his fiancee Teena Ricante is falsely implicated in a jewel robbery, during which a woman was killed. Police begin a search for Teena. Desperate to protect the woman he loves and clear her name, Martin calls upon his pal Orvy to help him escape from the medical ward. He goes on the run with Lieutenant Candella in hot pursuit.
