Seventeen-year-old Claire desperately tries to conceal her pregnancy from the outside world, going from one temporary job to the next so as not to forge any lasting relationships. Skilled at embroidery, Claire finds work with the formidable Madame Melikian, who often produces intricate fabrics for Christian LaCroix and is slowly coming to terms with the death of her son in a motorcycle accident.
