The Pass Out rapper and his management company Disturbing London have teamed up with streetwear label MHI to create a collection inspired, as the name implies, by life in London.

The south Londoner told the Evening Standard: “I love clothes and this brand expresses my style of street cool culture mixed with high-end fashion.”

The collection of T-shirts, shirts, trousers, shorts, jackets and hoodies – which all feature the Disturbing London logo of a skull wearing a crown – can be seen at www.disturbinglondonstore.com.

Prices range from £25 for a t-shirt, £40-£135 for hoodies and £245 – £275 for jackets.

Earlier this year, Tempah revealed he didn’t want people to automatically associate his clothing line with his own image as a rapper.

He explained: “We’re working on our own brand but I really want to stay away from that whole hip hop cliche – ‘he’s a rapper turned fashion designer, turned actor turned property developer.'”

“I want people to walk into a shop and not immediately think Tinie Tempah, but think ‘that’s a nice shirt’ or ‘that’s a nice tee.’

“Basically I’ve tried to make it into a standalone brand, like Folk, Casely Hayford or House of Billiam.

“There’s a lot of creative designers in the UK we should support more.”
