THE WHO and Kasabian have been lined up to play the last ever gig at the London Astoria, which closes on 15 January.

Responding to rumours that the Astoria’s final gig might include publicity pleasing pop acts, a spokesperson for the famous Tottenham Court Road venue said:
“We are hoping to get The Who and Kasabian to perform. It’s more that kind of evening.”
The Astoria has always been valued by music fans for its intimate atmosphere, but is being forced to close due to tunneling for the upcoming Crossrail project.
