The stars of ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ have been banned from hanging out in Chelsea.

In the hope of deterring the likes of Lauren Goodger, Lydia Bright and Chloe Sims from partying with their toff-tastic rivals from E4’s ‘Made In Chelsea’, ‘TOWIE’ bosses have slammed an outright ban on the ITV2 stars, which includes being photographed alongside their fellow reality TV stars.

Lydia Bright’s mum Debbie told The Sun newspaper: “We all had a text message saying we can’t be in a picture with anyone from the other show. The ‘Made In Chelsea’ lot are lovely. I’ve met them a few times, but we just can’t.”

However, ‘Made In Chelsea’ star Cheska Hull thinks the issue stems from a former ‘TOWIE’ producer jumping ship to the E4 reality show in a bid to boost ratings, and admits it’s a shame the two groups aren’t allowed to socialise as she’s close friends with Lauren Goodger.

Cheska said: “It’s such a shame really because the two casts all get on really well. Lauren Goodger and I have become friends and we used to have a really good laugh when we went out to a club in town.

“But now they’re supposed to act like they don’t know us. I think it’s because one of their production team moved over to ‘Made In Chelsea’ and they didn’t like it. It’s sad but I still really like them all.”
